Welcome to my humble home site.

Name and Location:

Dan Gilman, Anchorage, Alaska
Hobbies and Interests:
Many, to include my lineage, exercise, couch potato, computer, gardening, and flouting (guess you could say I'm waxing "floutulant"). All of these activities are "time permitting".

As of January 4, 1997, I am a grandfather, at the tender age of "over 45", although people not concerned with pleasantries say "almost 50". Good thing, too. Before that date, I had a few prematurely gray hairs. They aren't premature any more.
If you would like to see pictures, you are free to look at my grandaughter, Brynnen's  album. I might add that I started on this project almost 30 years ago.

Now, while I'm thinking about it, I would like to point out that "New Age" doesn't always promote suicide, or what may be considered aberrant behavior, but more frequently forces you to re-evaluate your beliefs, your values, and your life. I have, with the help of Astara and many books about religion, increased my faith in Christ's teachings, although, my faith in "christianity" has diminished dramatically.

The letter "M" is very prominent in my life. I was born in Maine to a Mother (No, not Mary - you must have me confused with someone else!), raised in Massachusetts, I am a Moon child and a Mensan, and, having been in this state since 1971, I guess you could say I'm froMAlaska, specifically froMAnchorage. I should add that in 1990, I was diagnosed as having MS. Relax! I'm as healthy as a mule! Just as M-portant as the "M"s just mentioned, it would be remiss of me not to say that I have never been to Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, or Maryland.

Now, for your edification, education, amusement and bemusement, and, possibly your cemusement, I am putting a link to Art Bell's web site somewhere in this sentence. I will leave it to you to figure out which is what.

Below is a partial list of links to sites that I find interesting, if only in their mere existence, and have not had the opportunity to include them in the text of this site.
1. The Vatican
2. Jack Van Impe's web page
3. car stuff
4..  FAQs
5.   Russ's webpage

You won't find any confessions or self deprecation on these pages. Although portions of these pages may be reflective, they will consist of what I choose to remember or relate.

Construction started on this site on 1/26/96, and will continue into the foreseeable future.

The question I'm most frequently asked is, "How's the weather up there?"  Well,....
